Getting involved in the RVS Community
Wonder doesn’t happen by chance. It is cultivated through a community that believes in the potential of every child. At River Valley School, families support that vision by giving their time, talents, and resources in ways both big and small. Whether volunteering at an event, sharing expertise, serving on a committee, or making a gift, every contribution helps create exceptional opportunities for learning, connection, and growth.

Volunteering
Whether you’re helping at an event, supporting a classroom activity, serving on a committee, or sharing your time and talents, volunteers play an important role in enriching the student experience and strengthening our school community.
Volunteer opportunities may include:
- Supporting classroom activities, field trips, and special events
- Assisting with the Parent Network and community-building initiatives
- Helping plan and execute fundraising events such as the Gala and Annual Fund campaigns
- Sharing professional expertise, skills, or community connections
- Serving as a Grade Rep or Community Ambassador
All volunteers are required to have a valid Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening, which remains valid for three years.
Giving
Every gift helps create opportunities for students to learn, grow, and thrive. As an independent school, River Valley School does not receive capital funding in the same way public schools do. While tuition and government funding support day-to-day operations, enhancements to our facilities, programs, educational model, and student bursary initiatives are made possible through the generosity of our community.
Together, our collective support helps strengthen the learning experience for current students while investing in the future of River Valley School for generations to come.
