A community that feels like home.
The best school communities are built through genuine relationships, shared experiences, and people who care about one another.
At River Valley School, those connections are part of everyday life. Parents catch up over coffee after drop off. Grandparents volunteer in classrooms and attend special events. Students cheer one another on at House assemblies, and teachers greet children by name each morning. Our Parent Network, Board of Directors, Parent and Grandparent Ambassadors, volunteers, and staff all play an important role in creating a school where families feel welcomed, connected, and supported.
That same spirit reaches beyond our campus. Students take part in service learning, outreach initiatives, and partnerships with local schools, charities, businesses, and community organizations. Whether supporting a local food drive, caring for our environment, or connecting with our neighbours in Bowness and Montgomery, they learn that being part of a community also means helping to strengthen it.
When children grow up surrounded by people who invest in them and by opportunities to invest in others, they develop a strong sense of belonging, compassion, and responsibility that stays with them long after they leave River Valley.
